The Benefits of Group Tutoring
One-on-one tutoring has a number of disadvantages. Besides being quite costly, the tutor can easily fall into the trap of helping too much and the student can miss the opportunity of being independently successful. Small group tutoring assures that a student gets individual attention and assistance, but cuts down on costs and keeps the tutor from rescuing the student at the first signs of difficulty. The best part about small group tutoring is the chance for students to help each other. This puts the students in a position to teach (what better way to learn?!) and to be successful.
